VOLVO S40 1.6 HDI FAP - need to fap off, and have only mpps v21 ! How to do ?

Hi all,

I need to do a FAP OFF on my Volvo S40, and i only have a MPPS v21. How can i do this ?

I try by OBD but i can't read ECU...
I try pin boot with tricore but i only have default and ID read, nothing when i try to read a complete flash or just eeprom...

I there a solution with pin boot and other pin under the ECU ? i open ECU but i don't find anythink on the web for do this with MPPS !!!

Is there a solution by cabling the K-Line or CAN H and L to tricore with ECU on the car to unlock access to ECU ?

if it is just do it by bdm with galletto or ktag.

Yes, ut's a EDC16C34 !

i read somewhere that it fan be possible to read flash by cabling the k-line for pin on Écu to obd plus !

Yes possible but ECU must be on car not on bench

be obd eep and flash, no need remove from car.

How to do this ? You say by obd, and you do this with Mpps v21 without any change ?

I stay with same problem... i try with K-Line plug and i can receive ECU ID
It's a Bosch EDC16C34/3.30 MPC562/RevC CC_OFF

I try with Tricore soft but no result... i have only ECU ID with mpps, by choose a Peugeot or Citroen 1.6 110 Fap EDC16c34
When i try to read after receive ECU ID, result is always : Sub fonction not supported or invalid format

Any idea ?

Not sure this help me... china chit as you say do the wright job for other car, like opel astra for me !!!

I read a lot of post with problem with Volvo, may be someone have a good result with mpps tools, that's what i need !

I don't have v21 but v16 read ford edc16c34 via k-line and can, need select c-max

i try with v16 and v21 with same result on Volvo, but EDC16c34 on a Citroen wok's fine...

I think Volvo make change to block all tunning...

do it on bdm, it's more safe !
