I have a 2005 Renault modus diesel bought with a fault it had imobaliser light on so would not start, I pulled ecu out and checked wires ( some Ecu pins slightly corroded so cleaned) had a play about put battery back on and car started to my surprise, and sounds really sweet, I left car run or about 20 mins I took it for a drive and it cut out ( low oil pressure ) came on display then battery charging circuit ? Was back to as it was before won't turn over red light on? I played with starter wire and it cranked up again? So I'm thinking perhaps starter feed has something to do with it? Anyone had similar or same symptoms? As when it's running it's fine? Cars only done 88,000 miles with FSH so be a shame to bin it?
