BMW E90 163hp edc16c35 problem

Hello friends, I have a problem with BMW E90 2.0 163hp of me friend. Yesterday I read with kess the ecu, full and parcial backup. All is ok the kess identified the ecu and read ok. This morning I wanted write a file for this ecu, I connect the kess identify the ecu and I proceeded to write the mod file. And error..... No more ECU identified. I extract the ecu from the car and I try read with ktag but I don't identify photography the ecu. I think that it is edc16c35. Solder the connector to bdm port and try to read, nothing... No comunicación. I try to put the ecu in the car and press the start button. The engine turn but not start. I put delphi diagnosis and said me that the ecu is present and not have any failure. I try everything in 8 hours and I am worried. Hmm, interesting. I had the same problem with EDC16C35 Ecu on Wednesday, too. Kess wasn't able to write it. I suppose that ECU is dead, but I am able to read it with Galleto - BDM read.

I have same problem . I read via kess fls and want to write mod. File . Came error and ecu give no answer. Ecu not found. I will tomorrow make bdm directly I hope I can wake up the ecu. But I need kess file conservation for ktag format bdm. Anybody can make the conservation swap? Kess fls to ktag bdm flash? I try with ktag and galetto. I want to report tomorrow

Please when you open your ecu take a photo to compared. When I open ktag program I see 3 different hardware from edc16c35 and me ecu is not any of that. I solder bdm port in the 14 point of the base of ecu. I think you have bricked your ecu with kess, but I think you have killed the ecu with ktag, maybe bad connexion or bad bdm probe !

generally kess is good for edc16 bmw, you had charger on battery when you flashed with kess ?

The car is working I solve it this morning. The ecu is not dead is brick. I update the flash and coding all ecus with Autel maxsys pro ms908. Them case the cas ( 3 times) and the car start fine. I read again the ecu by obd, modify the file and write with kess +14.2v. the work is finished ok. Thanks everyone for the help.

My Car is a BMW E92 335D 286 HP

How did you manage to write it with Kess V2 Clone, just put a Battery charger and write with 14v on battery?

Galletto.... file have 2MB
but it's same data ...

if you will write a file that is made on the basis of the read original. and it will be counted the checksum - I think not one flasher will not fail

I would do it with KTAG but I dont have Ktag just Kess V2 and MPPS V16.

Don't use Kess. I had problems with many BMW DMEs reading and writing with Kess.
