Smart W450

Hi,

Smart W450, customer have 2 remotes and both stop working.

Program again remotes, car starts now but remotes don't work.

Try program new remote, but same situation.

Car starts, but door lock don't open / close.

Any idea what is the problem?

Immo goes by remote, so if car starts, the remotes are fine.
Do the blinker lights in the dash light op, when you press the remote?

Look at all the fuses, and check the sam plugs.

the small electric motors (one in the left and the another in the right door) are broken.... It happens when the central loocking is going crazy, when the immo makes problems... and they get too much electricity...

sometimes also at the backdoor and fuel cover....

In any case see fuse 16 (15A) in smart before 2003... or fuse 31 (30A) from 2003....

I try to program again remotes. Usually just press remote button twice, but still don't work (painel led don't start blinking) so i press again and again and it recognise the remote. I try with a new one and is the same. Just after press three or four times, led start blinking assuming remote is program.
After, i try and remote works, but most the times, just when press second or third time the remote button car open /close doors.
Any idea?

Reciver relay underneath centre/handbrake panel.Already thought about that. The problem is only original parts is available, and is expensive.
But i will try it. Thanks

Job done. It really was the relay/receiver.
