Which tools will allow me to extract PIN code via OBD from an Opel / Vauxhall?
Will a cloned Carprog read a pre-lift Vectra via OBD?

100% by dump
you mean that it makes a dump but doesn't help with pin extraction?

i'm just tired of desoldering eeproms tu put them in the programmer. extracting the pin is (usually) not a problem.
so you say that all of these tools will get me a dump through OBD without all that hassle. any suggestions on their pros/cons?

I was for long time not here on the forum, but I see, the old "smart ass crew" is still operating...
The guy is asking for OBD solution, and some of you are ignorant as usual, and telling him about pin by dump, like he is retarded and doesn't know it by himself.

To your question mate:

1) FVDI reads PIN for ASTRA H, for Z17DTL and Z17DTH engines (EDC16 ECU), but not for Z17DTR engines (Denso ECU)
http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/showthread.php/492087-*****-FVDI-Technical-Support-*****?p=3096153&viewfull=1#post3096153

2) FVDI can not read Insignia, but AVDI should. At least it's in the menu. Never testet. Do not have AVDI.

3) Original True Code for OPEL seems also to be bad choice. Some guy bought it, and reported that the comapany itself admited that the product is no good. So this a no go.

4) Explorer other alternatives, like SMOK or TDB1000

Hi,

seems like you have some experience. I'm having an issue with Denso ECU (Z17DTJ). I need to replace my old one and have a spare one available. The problem is, I dont know the PIN of spare one. The wait time is at 00:00:10 and never goes to 0 (car stood for hours with ignition on battery charger, no change).

What would be your approach to get the ECU reset? Possible? Which tool? It's only for my personal use and wisdom ;-)

Other approach: I can connect with OPcom to the old ECU without any issue. If I would read a dump from this ECU EEPROM, do I need the PIN to write the dump back to the other EEPROM without soldering? What app would be the best. I'm experienced with flashing mobile phones and home automation assessories, also with need to solder.

Read vin from replacement ecu, and try pin from vin.
Go to carprogonline
