Hello.
I need to transfer immo and mileage from old Motometer cluster to new VDO cluster.

Old Motometer:

New VDO:

Read pin from old and new. Use VCDS to coding and adaptation and key learning. Set mileage in new cluster with NYO or any software.

In my opinion, this exchange will not work. Instrument cluster VDO is Immo 1 (without can) and will not work properly in this car. You must mount the cluster instrument with immo3. Additionally, in immo 3, to replace the keys, transponders must be replaced. (or disable immo in ECM engine EDC 15 -vag k can commander 1.4 / 2.5)

I thought that number "6" in part number mean IMMO 3.

Yes you are right. This should be a VDO instrument cluster immo 3. I opened a dump in Vag Eeprom 1.19g and it looks strange. There is no information about the type of instrument cluster model or VIN.
Reports as immo1 but you can try to replace it.
I exchanged the instrument cluster VDO in the VW Passat B5 from (immo 2, 3B0 920 802) to the (3B0 920 927-immo3)

it is IMMO3 dash and the dump is crypted so that is why it seems like it is immo1 cluster, but it is not and the cluster PIN you read out could be wrong . I don't have tools to decrypt/encrypt dash eeprom dump, most tools tell the pin over OBD and also other dash info - vin, mileage etc.

Now I understand why it looks so strange. I used to process several VDO dumps (staging, wellcome) from VW Passat B5 but none of them was crypted.

For sure 1J0920826 is not crypted. There is also no 93C66 on this type of dash. It should be 93C86. Crypto was uses on Polo and mostly on Audi 4B.

So my reading from VDO is bad ?
