Range rover problem

Hi guys i have problem with the range rover 2009 ignition lock can by turn only one time without fire no crank, car after that must remove battery and then same thing only one time
Also remote work and key its goods
someone else have this case

Heheh, common problem when the steering lock ecu starts going bad. I've come across a few of them where people installed a switch inline of the feed fuse (#18, if I remember correctly) so they didn't have to disconnect the battery. In those cases, the car would crank and start, since the lock reported being in the unlocked state on power up. In the cases where the lock reported being locked, whether it indeed was or not, the battery disconnect was useless.

Key stopped turning, even after removing and replacing the fuse?

Ahhh.. and the steering is unlocked? Try this: remove and replace the fuse, turn the the key to ignition (don't attempt to start it), remove the starter relay, bridge pins 30 and 87 of the starter relay and check whether the engine runs. Lemme know :D.

So this one is in the junction box, behind the battery. Can't remember if the starter is the upper or lower relay. Easy enough to find out; just bridge the big wires of each. I think the starter relay has two thick red wires in positions 30 and 87.

can by drilling and put wd40 inside the lock :idea:

also i faind spare one steering column complety valeo

can by tested on car only to put one connector from old to new used or must adapted with diagnostic:)

LMAO!! The reason I asked to test whether it starts when the relay is bridged is because I've rewired a couple of them to work with a bad steering ecu, but good luck! :D

Hi I fix lock today with drilling and hit wd40 now work wery well lock unlock perfect but another problem now without ignition on and cannot fire

I also have two same big relay behind the battery i will tr to bridge wires latter

Never tried it. Whenever I get to this point, I refer them to a dealer for a new ESL, LOL. Crazy that the key turns but no ignition on. Ignition circuits are hard-wired to the switch.

That problem now both lock work ok all fuses good and no ignition on in second step I will check ignition lock behind tomoro
