not the same , but you can do a little modification, when we have the same situation ( all keys lost , card too expensive ) , the car's owner wants to start his car as soon as possible .

Thanks for this info. What if we try to use card as original one and not changing reader? Should it work if we use an old card of same type and new properly precoded PCF7936 in it? What do you think guys?

so changing the card reader works on the laguna came across this a while ago and read on this forum that changing card reader works so what else is the modification are the connectors plug and play

the renault ecu tool tell you that you need a handsfree card and will not program a 2 button card on it no damage to car so safe to use one of the best tools for renault .

If there is akl. Option is to program normal carbon pcf7936as and put into cardshell, then you can start car, but no remote control. And remember most important is: what colour of led is on card reader. If there is red - then only 3buttons hf with pcf7936 can be coded. But many times after 2005 there are card readers with white leds and then you can add 2 buttons even when there is option for hf cards (sometimes you can code both types of cards). Checked

So if customer have working 3 button HF card and card reader is with white leds, then I can add new key with 2 button and remote will work? Or I don't understand something?
