Hi,
I'm trying to read data from an old key for a R170 SLK 1998. The key is DAS 2, RF transponder, non-IR. I'm trying to identify the MCU, there is only one IC on the board, from what I can gather it is an NEC 41672021, according to marking on the chip. Does anyone have any information? I'm just trying to copy data to a used fob.
Thanks

Ok. Is not possible to learn used key fob to different car if transponder is switched over?

NEC are possible to read, but are only OTP = not possible to rewrite other used... :listen:
and not possible to learn used remote with this NEC :listen:
only swap NEC from orig to donor....thats way ;)

What can I do then? I need a new key remote but Mercedes stopped selling them. Only able to get transponder and blade.

Daxxer do you have a datasheet for the NEC or know which device can read it anyway?

I made a mistake, the key is actually a das 2 IR key. Does this make a difference at all? How can I transfer the key data to a new fob?
