Good morning to every one...

I have a general Question

Why some airbag modules, stop working, we have airbag failure light, but the car never crash?

never have accident?

no crash data stored on module, but not working?

why that happens?

:uncomfortableness:

When you say not working do you mean a dead module (no communication) or just airbag light on?

Airbag ECUs can fail from voltage fluctuations, moisture, stuff like that. But if the light is just on it could be many many reason and you would need to read DTCs from SRS module. Could be corrosion in a front impact sensor or wiring under the seats can become unplugged, seatbelt buckle switches can go bad, weight sensors, etc...
I've seen many cars without collision have airbag light, 99% of time it's just a component issue and not the SRS module

Thank you very much for your response, it is general question, not for something specific... i note that the light of airbag warning came on.... but the cars is almost new, just a few wears old... with no crash....and i wondering why that happens.....

thank you again...
