Cruze y S10 New

Hello, today a Cruze and a new S10 truck from Brazil have arrived and I have to change their few kilometers to 0. When I connect X-tool I receive the communication error message and I have tried in chevrolet and in opel, even the brazil version. Do you know if I can not do by diagnosis, I can do the BCM manually? What memory will it have? . I thank you in advance for your help.
