Need to swap instrument cluster on 2001 TT
can someone guide me with procedure please
Already tried to read pin from new(used) cluster using FVDI did not work
tried with OBDSATAR100 pro no success
there is no original cluster customer saying that is damage completely.

Back to this car again ,
the bad thing is that car is not in my shop
people just delivered instrument cluster to my shop
than they play on their own.
today they sent scan from that audi
i see error in ecm
1 Fault Found:
18058 - Powertrain Data Bus
P1650 - 35-00 - Missing Message from Instrument Cluster
and in kombi there is no vin and immo ID
but ECM shows that .
Is this mean that cluster its not for this car is it older?

Somehow he found original cluster ond of course has immo id and vin in it when checked by vcds
i found that original cluster has fuel gauge problem
arrow goes opposite way
i switched motor from scrap cluster did not solve the problem still the same
when i put motor from original to scrap all is fine so it looks like motor its not the problem
does someone have such a thing before ?

pull fuse 15 & 28, turn ignition or try to start the car (wont start because no fuel pump...), then put fuses back

Hello. The reverse fuel gauge is not a hardware problem. Pre 2001 cars and post 2001 cars have different linearisation in cluster software. One is 55ohm low fuel and 255 max fuel and the other 255 low fuel and 55 max fuel. You can solve this by moving the HC08 and HC12 dumps from the old cluster to the new one. This will move km and immo as well. Keep the original dumps safe in case anything goes wrong.
