Help FVDI kill Smart Fortwo immo

Today I decided to try FVDI (clone) on Smart Fortwo 450 - 2005

I saw function "key synchronise" and tried how it works with the only key the car has- FVDI displayed message - "synchronisation is successful" and after this key died and I can't start the car

key symbol blinking on the dash and remote doesn't work

I have Xtool X-100 Pad and try to add the key back but without success

X-100 shows that on immo memory still has 1 key but when I try to add the key programme failed

Any idea how to add key back?

Use function : Teach In. I use FVDI for smart 450 2003 1 button remote work good.

Also some others report the same too.

You executed key/remote programming successfully but probably did not followed procedure correctly...like ignition on or off etc... i can confirm that fvdi works on smart remote/immo type...also fit new battery to remote key and repeat procedure.

i can tell my fvdi 2014 can't much key with 3 buttons ats all. as our friend say fvdi write all success but key stay unprogrammed. of corse i use proper procedure(there are video at youtube).job done with mb star.

fvdi 2014 mercedes V6.4.... FVDI 2014 worked perfect even on 451... NO RISK, it just work
fvdi 2015 mercedes V7..... FVDI 2015 is not working, choose V6.4... but when you try it with V7, no damage everything works fine...

I´m not a fan of FVDI... but the price is at the moment less than 90$... what will you expect for this money..?:smiley_simmons:

I finally sorted the problem

as 'dtip' said - "did not followed procedure correctly"

yes - because there was no described procedure

on my FVDI I have ver. 5.11 and 6.4

on ver 6.4 missing instructions - there is start button and when you start the procedure you don't know what to do - After around 1 minute procedure is finished and you lose all stored keys because you didn't learn any key.

on ver 5.11 all instruction is there and you can add keys without any problem

maybe this problem with missing instructions doesn't effect all devices - as 'figani' said he has a problem on version 7 but 6.4 works OK

Dont blame fvdi, it is a great tool.
Just always use the oldest versions, and your fine.
Mostly 2014 version.

BR450 W450 did one using Delphi autocom.
Skp900 failed me, and the fvdi laptop battery died, finaly the delphi 2014 did it perfectly. (Delphi clone)

Even AVDI or any genuine tool can kill the car, it can be when you think it like a game, clicking OK.

It can be when you ignore the case you work for....There are a million reason, it can happen with anyone....

Also many report from fvdi, what work or not, so if you use without taking the time to learn, it's your own fault.

Tool does not work itself with the car, there are alway someone use it.

Personally, i have no complaint about, but will not plug do to BSI pin reading, BMW key and Mercedes...

I can say FVDI Mercedes V5.11 work better at V6.4
But sometime when V5.11 doesnt work need look and testing V6.4

It is tricky with FVDI
i dont use big operation with FVDI Mercedes!
Dont use Mileage correction on W204 w212!!!

'lion0304' as you can see also in this thread somebody said that it's no problem to use FVDI on Smart 450 - other said that they are afraid to use it

on internet you can see a lot conflicting opinions and I decided to check for myself on my car

now I know this is possible just must use right version - and nothings better than personal experience
