Hello,DK members,
I have problem with the Range Rover P38 1999y (petrol ecu bosch 0261204901) The car came with 4 keys (broken old buttons and remote not working). It's no immo transponders inside, only alarm system with immobilisation function. A car crank but do not start. Diagnostic error in Engine Ecu : "Anti-Theft Alarm serial link fault Drive cycle A" (Launch). It seems no separated eeprom memory in the ECU, only flash AM29F200bb and Motorola processor (mask B58590). Is it immo off solution for this Ecu? Thank you

Google p38 blackbox solution. It’s a black dongle that will start the suv. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=isK4FlIUGMQ

Sorry,I don't like this solution. First, it is expensive for one case (one car) to buy box which cost about 200 euro (diagnostic tool for Jaguar and Rover which can do resynh costs less, and you can use it not for one day), Second, it takes time to ship it from 2 weeks to one month. And after all if it will not works .... ?

Did you try to enter your code by the door lock ? Here in the USA we have a fix code 1515 . That’s all I have but meathead has a way by cutting a pin from the ecu. Search the forum I’m sure someone from the U.K. will share.

In USA one code for all Land Rovers? As I know in Europe it is different for all cars. I didn't try it,and I don't have it. A code is good when an engine doesn't start at all. In my case engine cranking but not working. It seems it's broken synchronization between ECU and BeCM,I think.
