Had a 2016 Ford F150 where customer wanted non-remote head 128 bit key, which Strattec makes in aftermarket, #5923293. Key programmed in, but customer then wanted separate remote for the truck. Neither I nor Ford employees could get truck to go into on board remote programming mode, so no go on separate remote. Has anyone tried programming in a separate remote on new F150? If they won't program in, that means no aftermarket Flip key would work, only one with Original Ford inside. Maybe just that truck? That means no aftermarket remotes at all- can't believe Ford would lock out all aftermarkets.
Also, does IDS have programming for remotes on this newer stuff? Any help or comments appreciated, this would probably be US market only.
