Dual layer DVD

Can some please explain to me the difference between a normal dvd and a Dual Layer in HOW to transfer films to them. Thanks.

Theres realisticaly "no" difference, your burning software should handle all the details automaticaly for you without the end user ever really being too aware of the process.

The physical and technical differences dont really matter outside of abstract discussion.
