Can i clone edc17cp02/06 brom bmw 118d? 2008
Custumer say the old ecu is 80% damaged, so i can try read maps and eeprom and write maps and eeprom on the new ecu.

New ecu is 100& same number. Will this work to start the car?

I have avdi abrites, and function sync ews-ecu
What to do?

Regards

Make full tricore boot read of both ecu. Than move only eeprom area. Use ktag

this old cp02 so to 99% not have otp. read full area and write to new ecu.

So, if i read full tricore (eeprom + maps) and write eeprom and maps on new ecu, car will start?

Yes. Just eeprom should be enough also, because you have ecu with same numbers.

NO.

Otp not enabled does not mean you can move eeprom from donor to receiver and have success.

Need pass full dump from donor to receiver, so the not enabled otp area can be rewritten with the new keys to decrypt immo data of the old eeprom in the new ecu.
