This is only VCI 1, you can buy VCI 2 with SD3 + SP3 with the USB key with factory level sercurity pass all included in the price at OBD2... without the USB key you can only see stuff not change it in the later model series 4 trucks... dunno bout Series 3, here in australia to bypass speed limiter you just pull the fuse out of series 3, other than that nothing really electrical in them

thanks for that information, i did not know that sp2/VCI1 worked with the later model series 4 trucks. i will look into it now, i never worried about it before because the VCI 2 was too expensive but if i can get VCI 1 for cheaper than it might be economical, specially if you dont need the usb key... thanks

yeah i understand that... still expensive. i dont really work with scania enough to justify out laying that sort of cash so ill just keep looking til i find a cheap one

i use both VCI1 and VCI2 in my workshop here. Bought VCI from baburs company, real good stuff and value for money.
But honestly speaking 4series vehicles nothing much to diagnose compared to the 5series vehicles. just my 2 cents

Nexiq dont work with Scania because it have another communication protocol.
