Hello friends,

I'm new to flashing and have purchased china MPPS v16. The program gets the ECU ID ok but cannot read the ECU flash (timeout).

My car is 2005 Mk5 Golf 1.6 FSI - BLP engine code

Part No SW: 03C 906 056 AK HW: Hardware No
Component: MED9.5.10 G00 6095

I have tried to take out the instrument cluster fuse (Fuse 6 on dash panel) but still getting error. I am using MPPS v16.1.0.2 without loader on Windows 10 Pro.

Has anyone experienced this and knows how to fix it?

Many thanks for your help.

Bdm and problem solved.

I am a novice so BDM would be probably bit too much for me having to remove ECU etc. I also do not want to buy extra hardware if possible. Thanks for your advice anyway friend.

Are you saying it is not possible to read/write using MPPS on Bosch Med9.5.10 even though it says it's supported through OBD2 port? Thank you.

Also will china clone Kess v2 be ok?

What about Vag Can Pro will that work on Med9.5.10 through OBD port?

Has anyone succesfully managed to read VW Golf/Audi A3 1.4/1.6 FSI engine ecu with MPPS? Just wondering whether it's a bad clone or MPPS is not compatible with MED9.5.10 ecu.

Just to UPDATE...

I've given up with this MPPS v16 and ordered a MPPS v13 to see if I have better luck with older hardware. I did consider ordering Kess v2 but since I am only going to use it on just the one car it seems a waste of money really.

Anyway, you'll probably hear from me again saying it doesn't work haha!

Hi, any updates? There were issues that Mpps V13 solved that problem on older ECUs (Like EDC15C3).
Also this "read" problem was solved when Car's Battery was connected to the charger and Voltage across battery terminals was not less than 13VDC.

Just for record I use v16 Chinese cable fine on my 1.6 FSI, just very slow read and write.

Use Windows XP in VirtualBox and pass the cable through

Attention... if 95080, 95160 or 95320 inside ;) and what K-Tag Protocoll (should be 64 or 108) shows to read ;).
Some need some mods in definition for Ktag to read ecu correct way.
