Handy baby jmd assistant id 48 seat toledo 2014

Just tried to plug in the jmd obd assistant to a 2014 seat tole do next the dashboard went all black no beeps from assistant soon happened I removed tool from car the car would not start I had original vcds with me I first disconnected battery for 5 minutes than cleares at least 8 fault codes than finish job with keyline machine any feedback from users of jmd assistant thank you.

The first time I shat my pants.
Take the assistant out.
Turn the key off and take out of ignition.
Turn the key back to on position.
Plug assistant back in and wait.
Should hear beeping, and clone new chip as usual.
Then clear fault codes (I use zed full because it's quick to do so).
I haven't done seat, all vw's.
