I have a 2007 F150 cluster swap.
I try to read as H128 and eeprom shows all FF. Then I read as H256 then eeprom shows info.

But, when I opened cluster to look at chip. It says on chip that it's a H128.

I was using my upa-s to read. So I remove and install my xprog. When I read, xprog identify chip as H256??

Is this possible, chip has H128 stamped on it, and can be H256?

I resolved problem and new cluster all ok now. I am just posting this as I have never seen this issue, wondering if anyone else can explain.

Thanks

I have sren before. Sometimes the labelbon mcu says xhz256 but you must read it ad xhz512, otherwise it will not work. My suggestion to you, is to look for the errata labeled on the mcu over the internet. That will give you the correct information.
