alright guys

vw Passat 2013

ecu part : 03l907309N / Bosh 028106374

EDC17C46

car cut out while driving and no comms

with spare ecu comms ok ...... so ecu is faulty

friend opened it and made a mess

could someone take a look at pics and identify broken / missing component

I know I need some sort of transistor with the following marking = Gvt
I know I need a smd capacitor but what value?
I need a bosch ic 40005 because pins are broken (idiot friend)

also I think I need to change mosfet with the following markings = 620TG this is shorted between both legs

what causes these ecu to die and stop communicating??

thanks

Ive looked everywhere and I cannot find a transistor with GVT written on it

Does anyone have a part number for it??

forget ecu, MCU dead, maybe someone welded without removing battery terminals or removed only "-"

same story 2 weeks a go, but with astra J, car went to repair with engine working and was just a small job, came from body repair and they cannot start car, communication was some times yes some times not at all or partial communication, meaning ecu identified but when try to read errors no more chatting :coat2:

I know this car personally

No welding or other stuff

I see people are repairing them but charging stupid money

The I opened ecu both sides

The mosfet that is shorted there is 1 on otherside exactly the same which is testing ok

The shorted 1 links to big capacitors and what looks like a transformer

Any help identifying parts would be appreciated and if I manage to fix will share info

Thanks
