Hello everyone! I have the Zafira B, 1.7cdti 125 hp. - A17DTR. About 7-8 months ago, the DPF filter was mechanically removed and the DPF and EGR valve in the ECU software turned off. The "Specialist," who remapped the ECU, said I will not have problems anymore. Yes but no! Since then, the dashboard error indicators in the car light up like a Christmas tree. After some interventions by my "Specialist," some of the error codes stopped appearing, but one of them did not stop appearing. The code is P0425-52 Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1 Temperature not Plausible. When I tried to see what was happening with the exhaust temperature sensors with OP-COM, it turned out that the two sensors were fixed at a constant value, the first one showing the 650C second 1235C. The same "specialist" now wants to put some resistors on the sensors. My questions are as follows:
1. Is it OK to turn off the exhaust temperature sensors?
2. Is it correct to put resistors to deceive the ECU?
Unfortunately, in the area where I live, I have no other option, just the same "specialist". Any help will be welcome. Thanks in advance!
P.S. I'm sorry for the bad English, I'm using a Google translator for little help.
