Kess slave e ksuite list obd

I have a doubt
I'm thinking of buying an original kess slave.
I downloaded the ksuite 3.11 list.
I do not understand 2 things:


do I read the pcr2.1 and write via obd? Do I have to buy other accessories?


another question
if it is written obd bench. what does it mean?
because obd vr and obd r and w I understand that it can be done.

No need open ecu, the same in edc17 vag. Read id by obd, than ksuite download vr file. You edit and write by obd, simple and fast.

Obd bench need in certein car example car whit doip connection. Need dismount ecu but not open connect pinout whit can wire and read and write
Obd patch need for disabling tprot for reading writing obd. Like pcr 2.1

I seem to have understood that for pcr2.1 there is no need to make breakouts.
reads and writes automatically.

I have some trouble to help you , I hope I can fix all today and post answer ,in the mornings I try to start ksuite to look for you ,tool made new update 3.11 ,all ok by update ,after update try to start ksuite and it wont work ,now I have contact alientech for support!545000

Answer from Alientech, try to uninstall completely and install new , I downloaded new software ,old uninstalled, 3 time install from 0 , same problem., Cmd and mpps work on same laptop with no problem!

People you are is stupid or what? I write all information and you are still not understand? All pcr2.1 be obd, use standart cable obd, no need open, no need bench unlock. again..... ALL BE OBD THE SAME WHAT EDC17 VAG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree with voltechcar, he gave me advice for buy original kess, and now i do all vag over obd, no more open ecu's. Also pcr over obd, full obd. Locked or unlocked no matter.
I repeat, ALL VAG obd with original kess

no you don't, because VR database of kess SUCKS.

we need to use cmd or x17 very often due to that.

I brick many times ecu's with cmd, write ok and car no start...

Not only kess has not all models , I had trouble with vr olsow with CMD Flashtech, BMW e61 520 edc17 cp02 file not found on server , same with passat b7 2013 !

I can forward you probably 100 emails of them saying "sorry we don't have this file, please check NEXT WEEK". LOL. always next week.

if you don't have this problem it only means you don't do enough cars.

Luckily I use them on a daily basis. but not on all cars, you need the right tool for the right job :)

Kess it is a good tool ,but I had trouble on some car , Audi A8 4.2 tdi 326 hp ,read till 90 % and there trow up communication error , BMW 520 D 163 2008 ,unknown ecu and refused to read , Renault megane GT 180 hp ,stop reading at 75 % , I have done this car with CMD no problem , sometimes with mpps olso no problem ,but kess is one of the best tool !

I have 2 years Kess genuine, never have problem with any Bmw, ALL vag read, 2 times no have vr pcr 2.1, so use vcp upgrade software to bigger sw and problem solved.
