Hallo,
I'm intreted on this thread too...
I've got a evo 9 dashboard in Km (imperial) with eeprom 96c56 corrupted: while reading with Ponyprog 2000 got sone bits faild... rewrite with the same errors and now the odo display doesn't shows nothing at all.
May be a checksum error that lock the dashboard startup?

please help me...

No checksum - just bad dump. Have you tried the Evo 7 one above? Should work otherwise I have a 9 one at work.

Hi Mike, yes I tried the evo 7 above but nothing, still blank odo display.
My dashborad is EDM obviusly, maybe the evo 7 JDM dump is in miles?
tks

Try to flip bytes.

Try to flip bytes.

Swap byte do you mean? I'll try today.

Does anyone have test ponyprog 2000? useing serial-usb converter and direct probe for microwire 16 byte config.555509
Pin 6 and 7 connected to +5V

Sorry I bother you agian, but now i have new problem:
now I have flash the eeprom with the evo 7 dump posted above

- Speedometer lost linearity: before reflash eeprom it indicate 145km/h @ 100Hz signal on pin 12.
now if I realing the needle to 145kmh at 100hz and move frequncy to 50Hz it indicate 40 kmh (not half 145 -> 77 as I supposed...)
here what I read now:

Hz --- km/h
45 --- 20
55 --- 40
71.5 --- 80
91 --- 120
110 --- 160

How can I calibrate it?

Also fuel level do something odd.....

What kms does your speedo go up to?

before reflash eeprom it indicate 145km/h @ 100Hz, after reflash it goes up over 200km/h...

on the mask is written 60km/h = 637 r/min, whati the meaning of it?

Try this one - might not be exact but should be much closer. I'm not sure which bytes control this. Also you will prob need to swap bytes again.

ok tomorrow I will try.
I post here the image i've read at first attempt but somethings goes wrong (as you can see some byte that should be 0xff are read as 0x7f, maybe wrong calibrate timeing from win 10 -> usb-rs232 convert ecc...)
the miliage was 169698KM557110

Question: is it possible to flash eeprom soldering wire direct to dash board or it is to disassamble eeprom each time?

Here’s the pinout for the back of the eeprom.

great!
Do I have to supply +5V direct to eeprom or I ahve to supply +12V to dashboard? (pin 7+9 +12v; pin 1+2 gnd).

Normally the programmer supplies!

What kms does your speedo go up to?

Ok I think the evo 7 dump was in miles not kms, that why at 100Hz indicate 230Kmh and at 50Hz indicate the half 115kmh
if you divide that value for 1.6 you'll get exatly the value converted in km : 145 kmh

but the strange thing is that the speed sensor is the same for JDM, EDM and USDM.... I really can't understand :(

Mike do you have other evo 7-8-9 EDM dumps shurly in kms?

The first Evo 7 dump was for 180 km Dial, that Evo 9 dump is for Ralliart 280 km Dial. I think it will be close enough for you. I don’t have any EDM dumps.

hello, I'm totally new to programming and/or electronics, I'll tell you I got the ralliart dials for my evo 7, but they don't show the correct rpm and speed, what do I have to do so that they can show the correct thing??
