It looks like you have to replace the original exe with this one in the install folder. I found this text file.

hercamp is from Chile so you have to understand his English limitations. If it weren't for him you wouldn't have the crack or a lot of other things.

Please, don't misunderstand me, I am just saying that those install instructions are impossible to follow. I appreciate all hercamp has uploaded for this site, but also realize that I came to this site to give as well, and have only asked for help with installing dddl and ddrs. Oh, and I come to this site with 400+ gigs of engine programs. I already have the crack, different versions of ddrs and dddl, cat ET, Cummins, Hino, AllData, Mitchell on Demand, VMack, VCADS, proscan, etc, with various keygens and cracks. And have helped various people on this site already. hercamp included. I always include clear directions when asked, and I ask that the same be done for me. That's all I wanted, just clear directions. I'm here to help with all I can, I just want clear help if I ask for it. DDDL and DDRS are the only programs I have trouble with, but getting working install instructions is near impossible, it seems. I figured I would ask on this site as I have already established myself as one willing to help others with anything I have.

This crack does indeed work for v6.4, I have installed it on several machines, but there were some... discrepancies...

If installing on Windows 7, the crack instructions, which are at the bottom of this post, work fine, I had no problems installing it on my Win7 laptop. Windows Vista should behave the same.

Windows XP, however, offered up more of a challenge. After several attempts, the way I found to work consistently was to follow the instructions included with the crack up to the point where you actually run the cracked exe, then enter ten random numbers for the key, once it says it is successfully registered, exit DDDL and reboot. Stop following the crack's instructions right there. Instead: Go to C:\Program Files\ and delete the *ENTIRE* Detroit Diesel folder, reboot, and re-install. The first dialog box to pop up after you run the installer again will want you to completely uninstall any previous versions of DDDL. Do *NOT* remove the "old" version, you overwrite what's already there (I believe the correct answer in this dialog box was "no"). After it finishes installing, reboot, run the program. It will be fully enabled.

I came up with this method through trial and error and have used it successfully to install it on 6 XP machines so far. I would bet this method will work the same with Win 2000.

HOW TO INSTALL :

To install on Windows XP and Vista For DDDL 6.4 Crack :

To install on vista or xp follow these instructions. it is a lot
but you MUST follow these direction exact or it WILL NOT work.

Run the install for DDDL 6.4. program

After install DO NOT run the progran. reboot your computer

After reboot (do not run the program at this time)- Go to
c:\program files\detroit diesel\diagnostics\ and copy
"dddl.exe" and paste it to your desktop (make sure the whole
file copies not just a shortcut)

copy the crack dddl.exe file from the download to
c:\program files\detroit diesel\diagnostics\

right click c:\program files\detroit diesel\diagnostics\dddl.exe
and run as administrator

enter any 10 numbers. the program will now open. let it open
completely.

close the progran and reboot computer

go to c:\program files\detroit diesel\diagnostics\ and
Delete dddl.exe and put the original file from the desktop in
this directory. (do not copy over the cracked dddl.exe it must
be deleted first)

reboot computer again

Now before you run the program you will need to go back
to c:\program files\detroit diesel\diagnostics\ right click
dddl.exe and go to properties. click on compatibilty tab and
make sure run as administrator is checked. click on ok.

Now you are done installing the program and it should run
with no problems. Then install the 6.44ta upgrade.

I just installed it on another XP computer doing this, what do you mean it won't take them. you type the ten numbers 1234567890 then hit register, the program may or may not open, then you delete the c:detroit folder and the c:program/detroit folder, then go back to the dddl 6.4 install file and let it uninstall and reinstall and it'll be fine.

chances are its the adapter, go to your settings and select a usblink adapter, then close the program. reopen it and it should same something like nxublink error instead.

what you need to do is install dddl 6.45, then go to the c:program files\detroit\diagnostic and move the dddl.exe to the desktop, then place the dddl.exe crack file in the folder, double click the cracked dddl file, it will say version, 5.XX, then enter 1234567890, then hit register, it'll say registered, close the program and then run your detroit 6.45 install file, select uninstall let it uninstall then reinstall it. it'll work great. no need to restart anything or delete detroit files.

btw you can also delete the original dddl file from the desktop when done.

Hi all, I'm trying to install and crack the 6.4 dddl . I can't do any of the 2 ways to crack because I'm unable to acces to the diagnostic directory. I can enter and copy the crack, but I can't execute it because it say that I don't have administrator rights ( false ) I try to create another account, I tried with windows 7 and get the same problem. Finally I create another directory near diagnostics and copy all the content of the diagnostic directory on it and I rename to diagnostic (Before I changed the name to the diagnostic authentic directory ).I put the crack, execute it and enter the 10 numbers, close dddl, reboot etc..


After I copy all the content of the false diagnostic directory to the authentic ( with the exception of the cracked dddl.exe ) and put the original directory name.

After this, I try the 2 different tutorials, the original of the crack and the made for undeadmechanic. In both I have the same result, I can run dddl.exe 6.4 right, and can install the 6.5 version and it remains registered. But I can't manage to connect with a s60 ecm ( Is the only I have here to try, but with a another notebook with original 6.2 dddl I can enter easily ) With a inline 5 usb interface I connect to the ecm, but after a few seconds dddl disconects from the ecm and can't connect again.

With a old translator box ( I use it with the 6.2 original software ) dddl try to connect but never manage it.

I don't know what can happen, I try it more times and with 2 different notebooks with the same result. Now I go to format one of them and install the 6.5 for ask a key here, but if any of you know suffer the same problem post the solution please.

EDIT : What version of dddl 6.x recommend to install ? You have keygens of all of them ? is for installing a version that i can ask for a key..

Finally I install the 6.4 version without crack,initially it seems to have the same problem that the cracked version, but finally I managed to connect right after several attemps with the old translator box, with the cummins inline 5 usb i can't connect. It seems to be a problem with the ecm or interfaces and not for the crack.Of all forms I'm tired of install,unistall, format disc drive etc etc..and will leave it be for the present, if any can give me the registration code for tool ID DMBDS2HL i'm be eternally grateful.

You try to create another directory inside detroit diesel directory and paste all the content of the diagnostic directory (except dddl.exe) on it ? After you need to copy the crack to this false directorY, rename diagnostic directory to diagnostic2 and false directory to diagnostic. Now execute the cracked dddl.exe and put 10 numbers. Finally you only need to copy all the files (except dddl.exe) of the diagnostic directory and paste to diagnostic2 directory ( I' don't know if it is necessary, but don't lost nothing for do it,because any file can be modified when we apply the crack) Only remains delete the diagnostic directory and rename diagnostic2 directory to diagnostic.

Try it and comment results here, I think it works..

yes they are supported by xp with no problems they alson work on vista i have seen no problems with them on vista but i dont think they work on windows 7 yet if you read the text it will tell you what they are compatible with have a good one

if you uninstall and then reinstall you have to go to main menu and click on "RUN" type in "REGEDIT" and go to hkeylocal and click on software and erase all the reistry entries for the program and then reinstall the program it should give you a clean install it usually works for me if that does not work just ask somebody on here will know alot more about computers than i will have a good one hope this helps you out

You try to create another directory inside detroit diesel directory and paste all the content of the diagnostic directory (except dddl.exe) on it ? After you need to copy the crack to this false directorY, rename diagnostic directory to diagnostic2 and false directory to diagnostic. Now execute the cracked dddl.exe and put 10 numbers. Finally you only need to copy all the files (except dddl.exe) of the diagnostic directory and paste to diagnostic2 directory ( I' don't know if it is necessary, but don't lost nothing for do it,because any file can be modified when we apply the crack) Only remains delete the diagnostic directory and rename diagnostic2 directory to diagnostic.

Try it and comment results here, I think it work

2/delete originall dddl exe file from c:program files detroit diesel it has the same symbol as in the crack
3/copy and paste the crack dddl file in its place
4/run the dddl file crack version
5/It will open and want registration pw

7/let it open all the way and then close it
8/delete the cracked exe file from c/program detroit folder

No it should not show expiry.Did you delete orig exe file and copy and paste in crack file.I had many,many tries before I got it to work had to follow josh,s instructions to the letter.Let me know how you get on.col

on dddl 7.4 I experience the same thing on my older hp laptop w/xp pro sp3 and I just got another pc (a cheap netbook) w/win xp home and it worked fine.

try downloading this and just double click it and say "ok" when it says add to registry then try to install and open dddl 7.4 again

why you trying to delete all information, selling the PC or something? all I ever did was uninstall and reinstall, somewhere for dddl 6 it remembered I had keys, dddl 7 always requested new keys.

Dear, if its a columbia or century class ,its better to check the main wiring coming to dash fuse panel inside cab.
Do one thing remove air filter and check main cable for power and ground which is connected to firewall and supplying power and ground to fuse panel.
Am sure it will help you.

freightliner had a recall for the tyco pdm's for that very reason, had us replace them just for signs of moisture, but if its just gauges, the gauges are datalink driven.verify no interference in the datalink. and on that model century class, it is j1587 (1708) datalink that runs to the icu.

I'm pulling intermittent codes D21/PID91, D62/PID40, and D73/PID227. Engine RPM slowly increases, and no pedal response. Sometimes engine dies, and DDDL and/or Servicelink communication fails........ possible short or open circuit somewhere.

Please brief me on the what these terms mean as I'm not familiar with Freightliner:


tyco pdm: Is this the fuse panel assembly?
icu: don't know what this means....
I'm pulling intermittent codes D21/PID91, D62/PID40, and D73/PID227. Engine RPM slowly increases, and no pedal response. Sometimes engine dies, and DDDL and/or Servicelink communication fails........ possible short or open circuit somewhere.

if its a series 60, the battery power for the ecm goes right over the starter and has an issue rubbing on the starter and arcing temporarily shutting ecm down for a few seconds thus loosing all power and loosing gauge response for duration of ecm power down.

freightliner uses two types of pdm's (Power Distribution Modules). you might refer to them as the fuse panel. one is packard, one is tyco. the tyco has the clear plastic cover over top and the fuse labels are on the cover, packard pdm's are labeled on the pdm.
ICU stands for (Instrument Cluster Unit) its the gauges.

Magicblack are you sure you installed the dddl and not the ddrs ? i have seen the ddrs do that but never dddl if you are installing the right program unistall it and go into the registry and delete all the dddl from the registry and then try and reinstall the program sometimes that works if not get another disk because it sounds like that one is bad have a good one also there was a patch for dddl 7.04 because they had a problem with it opening so that also may be the problem
