Can i completely clear my dreambox 500c of any software and install all new images. I think my box has some major software issues.

Read the RED stickies as they will tell you how to flash a new image on to your box and how to configure your box afterwards. Make a backup of your var/etc and var/keys folders and also your channel listing before you flash a new image onto your box.
