hi guys, we all know that certain tools can brick vw clusters when programming obd. Out of interest, has anyone ever had problems with original arbrites when doing any vw cluster obd whether its old type or mqb, etc. just checking how safe this tool is . :dead:

Abrites and vvdi cannot do polo 2g 2018-

Can read mileage but doesn’t pass security to write on these mqb dashes.

Does anyone know what controller is used on these clusters. It seems to be an NEC chip, 144 pin. crystal is on pin 21, 22, VSS 7, 18, 19, VCC 6, 20, 25,
chip marking 1401, CLAK0254U. also it has a QR code which doesn't bring up anything

I have also tried with Xtool D9Pro but with no luck, it's locked.
MCU/Chip inside is - R7F701xxx
