Hello,

I was trying today to read the fis dump in order to get my VAG MFD code and i failed with my clone carprog that i bought years back.

first of all i would like to know if its possible to get a dump reading while the radio is in "Locked" mode or should i plug it for 1 hour before trying to read the dump? I know i need to plug it for 1 hour to input the code, but is it needed to do so before reading the dump?

Second, i found many pinouts for the same type of radio, and while i suspect they are all the same, i thought i would ask for help here.

I will attach 3 different pinouts, some does not even mention the need of the 5V+...which i find weird. and not to mention that the carprog pinout is different than all of those.

A guy i know have a vvdi prog, maybe i can try to read it with that, if not i think i have an xprog laying around somewhere.

Please help clarify the pinout and the "locked" issue

Thanks

the radio does not have to be unlocked for reading ...

I personally do "martech for radio code" and the reading goes on 3 wires

Picture 2 and picture 3 both are from martech....and they dont show the same pinout. thats what confused me most

here it is.
I have a vvdi prog, since i am not trusting the carprog clone. always giving "verify error"

So after i tried and failed with carprog clone and xprog, i went to a friend and got his orange 5.
Now i cant power up the unit anymore...
it was working when i unplugged it to go get the orange 5, now its dead.
Fuse is good.
Any idea what went wrong? Could i have corrupted the 24C32? does that cause the unit not to start?

Still didnt find a solution to this, can't read dump (i get all zero's) can't write a file (stays all zero's), and the unit does not power up.

any solution or i should replace the whole unit?
