Have only obd read from my e91. But You can use WinKFP to recover or rewrite ECU with this SW nr.

I have original OBD too, problem is i did a mistake loading the mod file ,now even tho the car starts has all sorts of faults and doesnt allow me to write or do recovery .

Tried loading the obd read via bdm and now wont even start

As I said - easiest way would use WinKFP. Easy and fast. You can use it sucessfully even with 5$ cheap Vag cable..
