Got a second used x6 v8 for backup. This one is the newer'ish model without the 2 red rubber belts on the motor to the cutter.
Noticed sometimes when the cutter starts to spin up it stalls out and has to retry until it keeps spinning, but then it spins fine. Like it didn't get enough juice or something. Sometimes it'll spin up first try, sometimes it takes 4 or 5 attempts one after another. The problem with this is the cutter is moving along to the key blade while it's trying to get started spinning. If it ends up taking longer than this it's going to ram up into the blade without spinning up first.
Has anyone seen this issue on the new design units, or even the old design?
