when read or writing these via obd the tuning tool knows which is master/slave but to do it via boot mode how to tell your reading the master so you know when writing back your writing master or slave

the diference in the read master or slave is that master read original file and slave read original file but cripto , you can see in hex mode if you compare whith another one

That is just flash and eeprom from 1 ecu though!!!

i dont do modding im only trying to find out which ecu to read to send the file for someone to mod mate

or you can desolder 29f800 and read whith some programer

yes i understand i can read flash chip via boot or remove and read/write direct what i am trying to find out is which of the 2 ecus do i read to obtain the master flash and then i presume this flash are modding needs writing to both ecus?

tried obd and no joy so going back to do via boot monday but yes i presume it will have also both ecu sat under wipers like most VAG stuff so easy to get to

Even being clever as you think you are, you are having problems to understand, maybe need “to eat more chicken”.

OP does not ask about master or slave interface to read ecu, ASKS HOW TO KNOW WHICH ECU IS MASTER AND WHICH ONE SLAVE ON A TWIN ECU CAR.
