Astra J 1,7cdti ecoflex front grill deflector

Hello guys.
I think its not the place to ask, but maybe someone has experience in performance than me and can help me.
Astra J ecoflex has an electronic controled deflector, that closes all air that comes through lower bumper grill.
IC all the time is closed from any air flow. Will i get any improvment with opening this deflector or it is just worhless work?
