Passat B6 ECU change,please help transfer MAC Data to ECU

Hello together,

can anyone please help me to transfer the MAC data from ccm to the used ECU?
The other immo data i allready transfer,but MAC dont know how.

and without MAC data immo is activ

i attached the dump from oem ccm and the used ECU.

With vvdi 2 but there is no option to transfer the rest or I am wrong?

or you know if this immo gen is possible to adapted with both logins from ccm and used ecu or is this immo gen higher than 4?

Hi, your ecu dump size are wrong 3.37kb, it must be 4.00kb, try read it again..

Ecu eeprom dump size wrong!
If you have original ecu send better original and donor ecu dump for transfer immo data.

Hi I only could transfer the serial /pin/vin and cs.

Mac data was or is not possible.?

To all other thanks for the answer I try to read the ecu again but Vvdi2 was up to now without problems,don’t understand this now

the old ecu is not available it have a water problem

Try desolder eeprom from this ecu and read.Same times water not kill data in eeprom.

you are right,i got this damage ecu and read the eeprom .

now i attached both good reading eeproms i hope from damage ecu and the uses ecu.

is it possible to clone this ecus,but i see there are difference in the HW.

is this a problem?

@kiszka I don’t test this dump now,but it would be very nice if this file work because I need to Open the ecu and desolder eprom as I see it;because my Fvdi and also vvdi 2 can’t write this ecu on bench.this button write I can’t push.therefore It would be nice if I only need to solder one time this eeprom and all works after this cause this car is far away from me and I can’t test often.

If you try write in new ecu eeprom data with fvdi and this not done,its mean after this in new ecu eeprom 100% corrupted.
So....... better if you before this read and safe.If not send new ecu sw/hw nr.for get good eeprom data .

Hi,

i prove now your dump with fvdi edc 16U34 Dump Prog.

And it show me following Mac:47 85 27 EB .
The same MAC i got also if i use my prog for decrypte CCM Dump.:)

I think this must work now.

The only one what wonder me a little bit is i got following MAC from the older ECU:47 85 8A 86

Can anyone tell me why this old ECU have a different MAC in the two last Address?


The new ECU have following data:

SN:03G 906 021NK
HN:03G 906 021 AB

HW:07
SW:9970

You mean, just move immo data not anought for this both ecu ,because both ecu totaly different?
And good sulution for this only work ccm data learn with new ecu data?

No, you can, ecu, I just do not know
whether it will work on, copy and paste
I did not do such tests
Doing only the data that you need, you can do each ECU
You exchanged Golf 5 VISTEON for VDO as you think you can do it
It is the same with the ECU

I think is one ecu just eeprom corrupted and you just have same like original and edit this,thats all.Because you sure like 100% ok.

I do not know if there was a change in the Engine Accessories
but when it comes to immo
if you can not change the eeprom from the old ECU to the new ECU
it is the same with the given eeprom, we only change concrete data
but that's probably nothing new for most people here
maybe your file will work but it will be an option,

one think what i do not understand is why the last to adress different than in the ccm?
I thought this must match ?

But if the old ecu have this Mac Adress so this must be correct,i only wondern here..

i let you guys know if i had success with this transfer..

Both your CCM and your old ECU have MAC: 478527EB.
Some tools have a bug which shows the MAC wrong, specially the last 2 bytes because they are stored encrypted in the eeprom.

Btw I wouldn't switch to a different ecu, not sure if that will work.
Try to find the same ecu, preferably exact same partnumber and SW version, then transfer immo (or copy whole eeprom, I think this is possible for EDC16, can someone confirm?).

Here is my Feedback.

First of all Car Runs again :)
But The Engine Control lamp is active.

Error in Engine is 005696 control Modul damage (eeprom error)

Is it possible that there is a chks Problem?

The Strange thing was also After i desolder The eeprom and write The dump and compare it all was ident.

But After solder it and Read it on bench via Fvdi/vvdi there are differences in dump .

But i think its a Fvdi Reading issue ?

When the ecu is running it will change some variables in eeprom like counters, states and such, so it is normal a verify after running will have some differences.
Can you tell which eeprom you used to make car run?
