I think youre file since tuned an other tuner. It is already stage1, i think.
If you trust to youre file is original, write my file. Regards.

I managed to get the communication back with ISTA, flashed the old file and did CAS reconciliation, it is running again, but now the old files are no longer useful

File is %100 true. I think mpps did not calculate checksum. Read ecu via ktag on bdm mode...

use fgtech galletto is the best for bmw edc16 ecu ,mpps is not good with bmw ecu ,try to power up the battery volatge more than 13.5volts
in mpps try slow speed(recovery) without id to try to flash ori file

MPPS goes with me with all files from here, except those of Ignasvw WinOLS (BMW NE ORGINALAS (stage dyno tested) - 390198)

There is something missing with mpps, bmw 535d E60 have edc16C35 no 31. So file is 2MB.
But your file is 1mb, not correct..

Thats why checksum not ok.. MPPS cannot write only maps.

I advice to buy fgtech or kess v2 start with clone (100euro) for same good tools :)

Yes because if we do with ecm he give only checksum error and save this on 2MB file. Also same with winols but its more advanced and you see there are some hex FF not ok

Read your car with fgtech and post here, we do good tuning
