right everytime i try to load up my hard drive the wii just freezes on the screen where you would see the games list it just turns green and crashes back to the wii start menu
i am using a
iomega 1tb drive
usb loader gx
i have ios 14 installed
i have 200 games on the drive
any help on this would be great as i cant play any games and my boy is doing my head in
HELP!!!!!

Have you burnt any to disc to see if they run m8 ?

yes it all loads off disc ok it has been working off the hd but it is a bit hit and miss sometimes when you get the games list up and you are scrolling through the covers to select a games it crash's too and resets back to the wii menu
really doing my head in now would it be a prob with the gx usb loader
would i need to install a new loader
i have connected the hd to the computer and checked that the games are there and all is good on that side

Maybe a diff loader migfht work.
Have you tried another hdd or memory stick to see if the same thing happens? Can you try the hdd on another wii?
Have you tried the other usb port?

i have now installed wii flow and it all seams to be good many thanks for all your help
one other thing i want to copy my drive for a m8 i know how to do it appart from is it best to partition the drive so i dont have to use a sd card also
if so how do i patition a drive
and the last one what is the best drive to use and what site do i get it off

Most drives will work. I use western digital ones and have never had a problem.
Why do you want to partion the drive? If you use configurable USB loader you can format to fat32 and then you can use the drive for other things on your pc or wii. If you use configurable USB loader you do not need to format the drive to WBFS.

thanks for that m8 so if i use that program on the new hd will wbfs manager then reconise the drive and copy all the games over to it for me from the original drive
