How to read VOLVO FH500 TRW EMS 2.3 ECU?

Hi!

I have Volvo Truck FH 500 from 2015 year it has a TRW EMS 2.3 ECU.
I have ori K-TAG and protocol 1041 is for Volvo FH500 but other ecu. The support does not know when it will be supported.
Is there any other option/tool to read/write it? OBD or boot?

@dominik.m you are sure? Do you have FGtech ori and can post screen here?
Ktag ori also say that it do Volvo FH 500 with 1041 Protocol but with other ECU not with TRW EMS 2.3

I looked into FG tech site and here:

TRW EMS 2 is not same as EMS 2.3 i tried to read it as TRW EMS 2 but board pic are different.

With ori ktag it is possible to read/write EMS 2.3 family 870 (coming soon), if you will ask support they will do activation in your tool.

I have written to support. They have activated protocol for me I can read write files but..... It does not have checksum so it is not usable...
Did someone have checksums for this ECU?

Yes but you know how it is with Trucks? They cannot stay day or two.
I have oportuninty to chip this Volvo but only when they are at base, an car can maximum stay one day, sometimes i have 5 hours to do whole tuning.
And there is a time to take out Ecu, open it, read send to you. You will send to support. waiting for response...
I think its to long for this customer.

But why sending Ori file? not mod file? Ori file have good cheksums as i know.

Doesnt matter if you send original or mod file. I want to send to support to check if they have algorithm to do CRC...

I wrote and get file but cannot open it

AS far i know, there is possible to read and write using Ktag Ori, but checksums are not calculated so file is useless. Has anyone know any other tools that could read and write ems 2.3 sucsessfully?

Yes this is true. I have Ktag ori and support told me that i can read write but cannot calculate checksum.
Can someone else write to support for connection beacuse they send me only file that i atached on post before but for me there is no connection picture in file

Is there any news on EMS 2.3? I understand correctly that a ktag can read-write a dump, but there is no calculation of the checksum of the dump and there is no possibility to make changes?

Can I read the memory from one EMS 2.3 (is it new, works well) and write it to another new ECU EMS 2.3? Any protection for the serial number or processor ID is present?

There is no possibility to clone this ECU - just checked with Dimsport

Since 21.05.2019 New Trasdata supports reading/writing EMS2.3 but not checksum

Volvo TRW EMS 2.3 and 2.4 availble to Read/Write by Trasdata you need special cable if you dont want to open the ECU.
for ACM reading you need to open the ACM unit.

I read and write the Ecu/ACM now for a Time already and able to Remove SCR- adblue and DPF

so now you know.

all other tools cannot Read or Write that ECU/ACM for now :)

Dimsport Can write EMS2.3 will all necessary maps and flags for any DPF / EGR / SCR off.
Newer 2.4 main maps can be reflashed with chk too, but DTC still doesn't covered well and just can be emulated.
