heh step by step :
Remove the airbag ecu in the car.
Open the ecu and find memory spi 95160 on pcb(8pin).
Desolder this memo , and use programmer for reading this memo (seeprog , upa , or other)
Reading mem and give the reading dump on this forum .
Uff - Clip not clear crashdata in airbag ecu .

Not cable to read this airbag ecu on obd2 .
Only read spi memory .This is no diffrend.
Another solution: Buy new airbag ecu in renault dealerschip :)

Hi

Yes,for example you need UPA-USB,ETL,Beeprog or Seeprog, only with a progammer you are able to read dump file.

And equipment to remove the chip from the print. Normally work for professionals - maybe your local tv repair man?
Then you need an eeprom-programmer and software to read the removed chip. Then the chip must ne reprogrammed and soldered back into the unit. Then you hope it works.
Or buy a new unit from Renault.

This is above and beyond your capabilities. Leave it alone and go and buy a new ECU. You are playing with peoples lives here and its not worth finding out you have made a mistake.

Laldog is right.

You need to spend money (about 200 euros) on a hot air machine and then on a programmer and then to learn how to use it. A bit too much just for an airbag ecu. Do you usually work on cars or what you do for a living?

Try this mate .....

hey, unfortunately it didn't work:banghead: !!
i must specefy that my original ECU was damaged with the hot air (i didn't know how to use it in the begining) so i took an other one, for free, from a crashed car, but the some reference 604 53 90 00.

http://nsa11.casimages.com/img/2010/01/22/mini_10012209322053751.jpg (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=10012209322053751.jpg)

Please try to understand, my goal is not saving money by clearing ECU instead of buying an other for just 200euros. my goal is to learn how to do it.

My question is: when i clear crash data from the second ECU, it will be like a virgin one (it can go with all the megane) or it keeps the Keys of its own car ??

Ah! the plot thickens mate ..... If you posted a different dump ..then the VIN ..number ..of it will not match yours ... So although it is theorecticly cleared ... The vins dont match .. (or something like that ....

i understand from what you have just said that cleaning ECU is, cleading both :crash data and Vin ?
So theoretically, the second ECU that i took from a crashed car, will be operational with my car ( it will take my car VIN once connected ) isn't it ?

Eh! ...no mate it won't ... The CRASH data has been cleared ....but not from YOUR control unit .... So it will contain the Vin data from the one you half inched (aquired)...Sorry....

eg... VF1LM1B0H32484342

Now whats your vin .. coz thats the Doner one mate ....

So if he just edits the vin of the dump to match car and pops it into the chip, high-ho silver away?

What shall i do ??
Is there a possibilty to make the aquired control unit VIN blank ??

Do you know this part in the photo : this is the part that lock the steering wheel in Megane, there are professional here in Tunisia who make it clear from the VIN so it will be like a New Virgin one, it will function correctly with any car. but once connected it will take the new VIN .

http://nsa10.casimages.com/img/2010/01/22/mini_100122104035235914.jpg (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=100122104035235914.jpg)

So let's go back to the ECU, surely there is a possiblilty to make it all Blank !?

I would have thought that if you just ff ff ff ed the vin ... then its annonamous ... (virgin ) ... but I think that if you put in another vehicle ...in order to work ... it should have the vin of that vehicle written in ... usualy by the dealer diag machine ,,.. I am not sure that it ..."picks up " the VIN ... but who am I to argue ....
