So after browsing thru every thread I could find here about renewing this kinda ecu, I've concluded that MB_ECU 1.7 doesn't work. My question is about the interlock counter in eeprom. I suspect that there're two bytes, one which counts up while the other counts down until the "marriage" threshold is passed. Can anyone familiar with this ECU confirm it is indeed so?

Hmmm.. Nobody has ever done this successfully or is it a state secret? I guess I'll have to muddle through. I will get it since I always do, whether it takes one attempt or a hundred. :D

Aaahhh, there is nothing like expertise. It worked perfectly. Very illuminating how much trouble an under/over count of 8 can cause. :D
