Hello guys.

I happen to have a spare ECU from a USA 2008 Toyota Camry (4 Cyl., 2.4L, A/T, 2AZ-FE)

The ECM is 89661-06G41. I know these cars have an immobox, but if I am not wrong, if you reset the eeprom in the ECU, it will be in auto-registration mode. That way, the customer buying the ECM does not have to do the 20-minute OBD jumper.

So I have it spare and I am planning to sell it. Can anybody help virginizing the ECU eeprom? It has a 93C86.

The file is attached here. Thank you in advance for any help.

As far as I can tell, you can only virgin the immo box, unless immo is inside ecu without immo box. Just do the 35min wait, should not fail.

Thank you for your reply Klaudio. I was expecting this ECU to be like the 2005 Corolla, which has an immobox, but if the ECU is virginized, you can avoid the 35 minutes jumper and do not need to touch the immobox. I have successfully done it before, but did not know if the story was the same with these 2008 Camry ECUs.

Kind regards
