Hello, I have a problem reading a6 3.0tdi 233 edc16cp34 with abt remap. I am using mpps v16 clone and there is 0.00 volts so error is "no external voltage found". So has anyone expirienced that problem with abt remaps? Is the ecu locked for obd read or just mpps problem. I've read many VAG edc16cp34 ecu's without problem. Tried on another 3.0tdi without ABT and no problem. So I think is the abt but?

flash full bdm on table. if you change anything in flash and try to write it. your epprom will be damaged.

I had this ecu with ABT tuning, also bdm was not possible

check if in the pin 16 of the obd port is 12v, and if the 4/5 pins is to a ground

Yes there is 12v and gnd, diagnostic works fine.

If voltage present on obd2 plug and mpps not show on software then your mpps tool might be defective.

Tested on another a6 without abt remap and no problem. Detects voltage and reads fine.

Voltage detection is something physical, cannot be hidden by remap, for any reason that a6 obd plug is not making proper connection with pins 16 and 4&5 of your mpps tool. Try tightening them pins with a tweezers to make them do good connection with mpps pins.

5 : +12V ( term.30 )
1 : GND ( term. 31 )
18 : +12V ( term. 15 )
72 : K Line
89 : CAN High
66 : CAN Low

Connect ecu on bench. If You still have problem with external voltage in MPPS, this means, that Your equipment is defective!
