i test filter inside dash, but without succes ... dash stay off but show new mileage ...

anybody have experience to feet inside FEM ?

what eeprom? what filter? On newer bmw must use good filter, china canemu no work.

ok i understand that its a good filter, but are you just installing a filter in dash or fem/bdc and then erasing first 2 lines of the 160wt?

i thought these wt chips required emulator’s?

...and whats the right gear to erase 35160wt, without loose the chip-ID ?

if you have vvdi2 with fem/bdc activation then you can set mileage in fem/bdc to zero and use a 35160/35128 emulator in Dash.

what eeprom your car has ? If no red dot near km and no fault codes in dash then ok without emulator.

BMW dashboards from August 2015 are equipped with a 35160WT EEPROM, which is not erasable and has page-id which locks this memory to its own dashboard-micro. If you need to correct such dashboards you CANNOT erase or substitute the original memory with recovered/bought one. You have to emulate the original memory with our emulator.

he is not gonna tell you..
i dont know myself either what he is talking about. in theory it should be possible to change chip id in mcu, so it matches. but its easier to put emulator.

anyway, topicstarter didnt had any special gear. just was lucky.

i think he means the reverse gear (R), so km will count down !

once i did a 2016 1 series put a blocker in dash then copied the content of the 36160wt to a 160dowt, installed that and guess what there was no red dot either? when i returned back to the car after a year to put the original chip back in and remove the blocker, the dot was still not on and no errors on the diagnostics?

Any BMW F series the chip 35160WT/160D0WT/WQ comes with uniqe chip id which has been merried to dash. Changing chip for any other for any BMW F from 2012- giving you big tamper dot.
But I wish to know solution those two guys above as they first who done it.

filters ok but if the car goes to the dealer then ur fu****. Also even if you do the fem bdc properly and use an emulator on the dash, if bmw where to upgrade the software on the car, its going cause problems?

yes filters always cause problems, sometimes when u take off battery eeprom emulator makes dash 999 999km lol :D . If bmw updates cluster then this correction will be caught.
