2001 Audi A3 spare key

What did i do wrong??

I went to an audi a3 2001 today and read the ecu via obd for the pin.

My result was Pin 00000 and CS 000000000 but it recognised the ecu no problem

i used lonsdor and avdi and got same

Any ideas?

Depends on cluster on this year good chance is a motometer on 2001 so will be clocks out to read pin, or you could clone the original as it's a spare.

You can read by obd with obd! Avdi works fine

First read km, and get a proper reading. Then you know you have connected to the right type of cluster.

2 screws and dash is out. Solder 4 cables and you have good eeprom without risking cluster demage..
Make key with PIN from eeprom.
