Renault "check control steering column"

I need a little help and suggestion, please.
Renault Megane 2005,

error message "check steering" is active at the dashboard and the SERVICE light is permanently erasing.
car starts and drives well, power steering also works well.


car reading with Renault clip, The tester can not find fault, but at the same time the message is active and the service light is on. I see in the tester clip that there is no communication to the steering column
*- wiring and fuse are checked and good

I would appreciate any advice regarding the above.

Hi,
Maybe i saw the same problem long time ago. EPS could be disturbed by dash, you can try removing dash and checking with Clip again.
Disconnect battery and check CAN (all the computers connected) on pins 5 and 7 of EPS (1232) => 60 Ohms.
