Is the disk formatted to FAT32?

Have you tried it in another PC to make sure it works ok?

Do you have a blank disk that you can format in the drive and then read? This woul eliminate the drive as the fault and it might be the actual disks that are corrupt.

Has this 'Floppy Drive' read 'These Disks' in this 'PC' before ?
If it has and you haven't done anything major i.e. re-built the PC with new OS or Hardware, or Updated your BIOS.
I'd say your Floppy Drive has died.

One last resort you can try with this drive or any replacement you get.
Is to go into the BIOS switch the Floppy Drive to a 'B: drive' and save your setting as you leave. Older OEM Floppy Drives were wired for either 'A:' or 'B:' use.
But try a new Floppy Disk first as Devilfish advises, its far less dangerous :)
