it is possible to read this ECU on the table

ECU PSA , IAW 48p2

I tried with Galletto V54 clone > Error no read
Galletto V1260 > Error no read
Kess V2, also error no read

is another possibility to read without desoldering flash.

thank you

Did you try în boot mode?

not tried
Do you have which wire connecting boot pin? and which tool to use

Boot mode on this ECU ?, you are not aware what MCU on these ECU's is !

I have one pending project to approach that goal (by FGT or may be with some other) and I want participant, who is interested please PM me.

My English is still far from perfect so please read this as just a simplified technical instruction of what MCU "Boot mode" is

Boot mode is MCU sevice mode apart from normal opering mode. For those MCU's which work this way are able accessing the service mode by shorting their boot pin to ground BEFORE they are powered up e.g. the pin needs logic "0" during rising edge of power supply. Sample MCU's using this technic are ST10F, Tricore, older gen of Tricore ex. C167, and a lot more.

(little side info of why several MCU's (ECU's) have boot mode by connecting the co-working flash pin 24, etc. to ground or to a specific programmer wire is due to the pin is directly connected to the MCU boot pin and it's easier to connect it at the flash pin, that's it!)

But the term "boot mode" should not be applicable to (most) Motorola MCU's. On the other hand they don't need a pin to be shorted to ground when working on them. And this Magneti Marelli ECU of 48P2xx is the one that using Motorola MCU !

To come closer and work with this ECU I would suggest you to start with this document of FGT, to this obsolete Motorola with BDM feature. Notice that the communication is Background Debug Mode which similarly to those MPC55x family. So far I can only find FGT (v54?) that say they support these MCU's, anyway I'm not fully successful on reading them. One reason behind this is that I'm not in a real auto-electronic business and seems lacking of materials (ECU) to test. For you have the tool and plenty with the ECU's you can follow the doc and if any I can send you 48P2 ECU pinout via PM if need. 48P2 ECU and the ECU's in the doc using same MCU family, good luck!
