Test bench setup VAG

Hi, I started replacing background LEDs 2 years ago on VAG cars. I want to make something like test bench where I can test clusters, radios, climatronics, buttons etc. because I don't have that car that I'm working on it every time.

I need everything to light up so I'll need light switch and some other components like control units to test it.

My question is: Can somebody tell me what all I need to make test bench ? or have somebody this setup already made ?

Use can gateway to diagnose most systems, you can get it in ebay for 15 eur. Diag tool in and out you have many channels for comfort etc.

So I can get everything light up with CAN gateway ?

Yes, powers, gnd and can through gateway and you have comm with tester, then you can do active test, coding etc.
