bricked ecu after write obd

Hi people,

I read bmw 330d edc17cp09 virtual obd with kess new protocol.
Tuned file, and at the end of writing it give error.

Now no more communication with ecu
I read full tricore

Attached ori & full tricore file
eeproms seems good..

can i write obd vr file with ktag?

Your virtual read software ori is different from KTAG read. And you can't write VR via KTAG, only if you split it to FLS and MPC.
But i'm not sure that this file is fit for your ECU.

I had last time tuned Golf 6 GTI with geniune ecm titanium. Write and car no start.

I tuned from 0 with winols, and car start...

bad tune, tool write this bmw without any problem, Kess write only calibration area so they know what they say.

Next time can use WinKFP our Rheingold, and restore ecu, i'm doing this if no luck to restore ecu.

WinKFP Know the adress of ECU and if ecu don't answer it's will try to write it anyway, tested on EDC16 1000 times :) WinKFP is genuine BMW Tool,

Yes, edc16 will work, but this one not..

Problem was the OTP area, different file from VR and MPC ori in the ecu.

Yes, ecu was dead, after write ori vr, ecu was back to life and i can write win WinKFP.
But it was no need, car was starter. Then i write same file with ktag, and car started, strange situation...

But this is new protocol in Kess, is possible that there are bug.

Best is ofcourse read newer EDC17 only by BDM our Boot, if something going wrong always can restore :)

and i think you cant write otp area, and is not stranger you cant do by obd , need boot mode
