Hi, I have an Audi A3 8L 1.6 (BFQ) from 2002 . I was trying to adapt a used ECU using VCDS but it doesn't accept the PIN. I am pretty sure the PIN is 8508. Could anyone tell me if I am wrong. If I am not, could anybody virginize the dump file so I can adapt the ECU to the car using only the original PIN. ECU part no. 06A 906 033 BD. I attached a photo of EEPROM chip.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for you reply. I don't understand what you meant with "CS: 12 21 3A 59 81 97 B5 (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Immobilizer_III_ECU_Swapping)" and I am not aware of what rule I might have broken. I have done it as described in the RossTech website, but the used ECU doesn't accept 08508 as login. All I care about know is just starting the car as it has been sitting in garage for a month now (i believe the old ECU is damaged). Could you edit my dump so the immo is off? Though i'd prefer having immobilizer working, there's nothing I can do about it right now.
Thanks again

Correct, I chose[01 - Engine], [Login - 11] and typed "08508". Thank you for the file, I'll give it a try

Many thanks! I started the car with immo off and went for a drive yesterday. But is there any other way I could adapt the ECU to the car, just so everything works as it should?
I have two ECU's now. I should probably tell what happened to the original one. A guy that had to swap instrument clusters for me, had taken the immo off. The car wouldn't start after few days. When I took the ECU to his workshop again, he said that the EEPROM was empty and flashed my original dump (with immo). The car still wouldn't start. I whould get fault code: "EEPROM error". It's a long drive to the guy, so I bought an EEPROM programer myself (TL866II Plus). I use a SOIC8 socket. EEPROM dump looked OK. I thought that it's something with the hardware, so I bought a new ECU.
Shoud flashing dump file from original ECU to the new one work? I've tried that and I get same "EEPROM error". For that reason, I might think that something's wrong with the original dump. I only need ECU that's fully functional with my car. Any tips?
