Hi people,

I will tune vw sharan 1.9TDI 115hp edc15p but when i insert obd, there is no connection, no voltage with no tools.
I know i can do pinout, but need to read the car for fault codes because engine light is on.

Anyone have idea ? or someone have sheme?

Try unplug radio. Is 12V in socket?

there is no 12V in socket. Radio is original, also remove?

I check all fuse, some fuses have no 12v, but fuse is ok.... strange.
No damaged fuse.

Is there some relais or "main" fuse?

I have the same problem. i try connect with diganostic ( delphi ) before tuning and i cant. i try with galletto and kess and same problem. i try connect with diagnostic again on ABS, Air bag and work. at the end we have established the problem is in dash board. dash board dont work fine and dont have comunication with ECU. replace dash board and everything work fine. maybe this help :)

Do it on the bench by pinout, safer and no problems ;) because of the no 12V situation by obd socket in the car.

Possible to conect direct to ecu .....i have lot situation when not possible to make comunication with any diag......problem is dash.....why? dash is multiplexer not diag tool.....
With older vag same situation but not dash fault ...immo box faulty

Easy conect direct to engine ecu need only one wire

Need power for diag tool! Pin 16 is + and 4-5 ground ( connect direct to car batery)

K line on diag tool pin 7

And find wire on ecu for k line diagnose ( autodata help)

Job done

I know I'm late to the party, but to anyone with this problem, I had the same prob yesterday solved with link & video below.

Had to disconnect radio and all connectors including the big black connector until my scan tool would read.
